Review summary
The Carnival Liberty is a beautiful ship that could be even prettier if it was kept clean and was better maintained. For people with kids the ship is awesome. There are pools and a water slide and the kids in the kids club looked happy. The mini put was a little bit lame, but people seemed to enjoy it all the same. If you like to drink there are many different bars on the ship and they offer all sorts of drinks. The best deal on beer that I found was at the Red Tree Frog bar. A 19 ounce beer was under 5 dollars. However, if you don't have kids and you don't like to drink this cruise might not be for you. It is hard to get a good view of the ocean from the adult only deck and it was often not clean. The entertainment was ok. People were allowed to pretty much smoke where ever they wanted on the decks which smelled awful and was dangerous since there were not ashtrays everywhere. Also the running track is not well maintained at all and was a big disappointment. The food is also not awesome. The buffets were lame and predictable. The same food was served every morning and the lunch and dinner buffets offered little variety. Eating in the dinning room was fun, but the food was of low quality and was not very delicious. NOTE: If you like your steak rare you will have to go somewhere else. The staterooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The ports of call were beautiful and we had a lot of fun zip lining in Honduras and visiting the rain forest in Belize. Do not go to Tulum in Cozumel!!! It is a long trip and not very fun. If you want to see Mayan ruins wait and go on the long trip in Belize. Apparently those ruins are awesome and you get to climb up them. All in all we had a very fun time on this cruise. If the food quality had been higher we would have had a great time.Ship experiences
