Review summary

This was a great first cruise for both my mother and I! We were both first time cruisers and so worried about being sea sick and not knowing the "sea basics". At some points the cruise was a little bumpy and we did get a headache but it cleared up right away. We loved the rooms and loved that we never had to clean and got our rooms cleaned twice a day (thanks to Eric and the other housekeepers who's name we never really caught!)! The staff works so hard to keep everything in top notch shape and doesn't get all the recognition that they deserve. Scarlett's Steakhouse was AMAZING! We got so full and was an affordable dinner. The drink selection was also great for my mom but the casino area was a smoking area so passing by it to get to the aft part of the ship (back part) was not fun but it wasn't unbearable either. Bingo was so much fun and the shows were great but we wanted some more. One complaint that we do have is for the seating plans. We did not like the fact that we had to sit with another couple, even though they were extremely nice, and it seemed like you really couldn't have a private conversation. Also our cruise director Josh was HILARIOUS and we LOVED him sooo much! The entire staff of the ship (especially The Valor Show Band and Dancers, Robin, Stephen, Olivia, and Squishy, who's name we never knew, were so much fun!)was EXTRODINARY and extremely funny. All ports were great and excursions were very fun and was money well spent. This entire cruise has turned us into cruiseaholics and we will definitely be returning to Carnival Cruise Lines. There really isn't anything bad about our experience!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Besides from the seating in the dining rooms, the food selection was great! Food was great! And never failed to amaze us with such a wide variety. Also drinks were very non expensive.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
So funny and a lot of mini shows, two shows a night great for both early and late dining and was well put together!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Truthfully, EXTRAODINARY! Went above and beyond to do everything they could to make us happy and comfortable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
One word, AMAZING. So clean not speck of dirt anywhere, the crew works so hard, never disappoints us with the towel animals and cleanliness of the rooms, and such long hours to keep the ship cleaned and really does a job well done!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Just like above, AMAZING!

Pros: Belize City, Belize

Cons: Dining room seating plans
