Great Time!

Sail Date: April 17, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Balcony

Did not care for the layout of the ship or the lines waiting for a tender at port. Other than that, we had a great time! The staff and service was terrific as was the food. Plenty of room for my family of four in our balcony stateroom. Shows were entertaining. We enjoyed the magic show the most. Comedy was so so. Weather was beautiful and excursions were great (sting rays and horseback riding). Would definately go with Carnival again!

Pros: We liked the food, activities for kids, the shows and the service.

Cons: Walking thru the smoke filled Casino and Cigar Room to get to other sections of the ship.

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Sting Ray City!

The relaxing part of the vacation! Paradise Beach is just that! Paradise!! Get there early! Cozumel also had the best shopping and you did not need a tender to get into port so the lines were never bad.
Belize City, Belize
Bannana Bank Lodge - Horseback Riding It is an hour away from Belize City but it was worth it. We rode 2 hours horseback thru the jungle. This is not a "touristy" kind of place. In fact, we were THE ONLY ones from the ships in port riding that day! I was happy to be away from downtown Belize.
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Too commercial. We should have gone into the local areas but didn't have time. Mahogany Bay Beach is crushed shells...bring water shoes. It is also VERY CROWDED!
