Review summary

The ship was "okay", not great. Geared to younger people and families which were plentiful. Stateroom for the price was excellent but other areas not so. You get what you pay for stands out here and there was value in that respect. Entertainment decent but again not the best we have seen. Probably our last Carnival cruise. We will leave that line for bargain hunters and young families. Other than our personal lodging I must commend the crew/staff as they were a delight and some of the most pleasant we have encountered.

Food disappointing. Otherwise the setting etc. was fine and service okay. Several times forgot orders but pleasant and tried to correct or we just forgot about it.

Staff kept our personal room in fantastic shape. Decor was interestingly eclectic and seemed to have little visual relevance. Probably a designers nightmare.

Cabin / Stateroom

Stateroom was lovely. Decor was elegant with hardwood, carpet and large bathroom with spa tub and much use of marble. Balcony was a decent size as well. Overall the suite was the highlight of the cruise!

Ports of call

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

A taxi driver was absolutely delightful and stayed with us trying to assist in our shopping. He made the day pleasant. Good jewelry shopping at this port. Last visit spent much more than this.

Visited the Ritz Carlton and would like to make this a destination. We have visited this port prior so didn't shop etc.

Pros: Suite was excellent. Personnel some of most pleasant we have experienced.

Cons: Food was disappointing to say the least. Great number of children/teens due to holiday.

Recommends Carnival Liberty? No.
