Thanksgiving 2010

Sail Date: November 20, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was clean and the layout was easy to navigate. The ports of call were a good selection, but we felt that we stayed to long in Cozumel and not long enough in the other two ports, Grand Caymans and Jamaica. We could have used another hour or two in each of those ports, minimally. The entertainment on board this ship was fair to poor. We have cruised with Princess before and the entertainment was awesome, this ships we saw three shows only because they were that bad. We walked out of three shows because of the quality of them as did a lot of other people.

Pros: The staterooms and teens activities

Cons: The entertainment was poor

Recommends Carnival Liberty? Yes!

Entertainment
Entertainment was not very good. Only stayed to watch three complete shows. Walked out of three others
Children's Programs
my teenage sons were never around, they had plenty to do. My 12 year old had a good time, some days she felt like there was not enough to do but overall they had fun.
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The services in the dining room was great and the food was good. The buffet on the other had not so good and very unorganized.
Cabin / Stateroom
For three people the rooms were good size and the location we had was amazing. We were on the 6th floor mid ship and everything was right below us and the food was only three floors up for the pool and buffet.
Service and Staff
Staff was amazing
Cozumel, Mexico
We spent 14 hours here which was way to much time.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Wish we would have had more time in this port. Will definatley go back. We did sting ray city with Captain Marvins. Would recommend booking this online and not through the cruise line. The cruise line excursions were packed where we were very comfortable.
Don't Miss: sting ray city is a must.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Jamaica was an interesting place to visit. The straw markets were an experience but I will tell you that the people may seem pushy but there are very honest. My husband dropped his wallet in the straw market and they chased him down and returned it. We did end up buying something from them but it was less than losing his wallet and all the headaches. My kids zip lines at a place called Hevens and they loved it.
Don't Miss: Dunn River Falls
