Review summary

We love this class of ship, even though its huge the crew is still very accomodating and do a wonderful job. The Lido deck and tiered layout accomodates many more passengers than most other ships. Getting around the ship was pretty simple. We got the impresion that Carnival is trying to move away from the fun side to the more mature / elegant side. The cruise director lacked the FUN attitude as well as his staff and activities such as the late night deck party were not well attended... Team colors are pretty much gone, no real mention of it in the dinning room or anywhere else.. It used to be fun to be a part of a team even though in the end it didn't result in anything... but it does take away from the FUN factor by not doing it...

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Great shopping, we went to a private hotel resort with a day pass and enjoyed it very much.
Don't Miss: Shopping

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

We did the Dolphin swim at Dolphins Cove and Dunns River combination. The actuall activity was superb but there is not enough time to do both because Dolphin Cove doesn't do a very good job coordinating and the port stop is so short.
Don't Miss: Dolphin Swim, Dunns RIver Falls

George Town, Grand Cayman

Sting Ray sand bar and snorkeling. We rented a private Charter and had a wonderful time holding the sting rays and snorkeling on the reefs.
Don't Miss: Sting Ray Sand Bar and Snorkeling

Pros: Embarkation, Ship Cleanliness, Ports, Extended port visit in Cozumel

Cons: Port Call in Jamaica too short, Sea Day Deck activities
