Review summary

I had a good time with the exception of being hurt on the excursion. I felt there was alot of miscommunication and unfortunately very poor handling of concerns and of my injuries. I am hoping carnival will do better in the future and I am hopeful they will make things right.

Service and Staff

Wish our steward was more personable with us. Kept saying about our room being warm but nothing was ever done. Would ask our steward for things like towels and ice but would take constant reminders to even receive them.

The dune buggies were a lot of fun. But unfortunately the rest of the excursion experience was not good. There was a lot of miscommunication on what was expected and what we were going to be doing. In the excursion information it said nothing about an extreme hike up hill and then being fully submerged in water for the “waterfall” part of the tour. It had only said a light walking and looking at waterfalls. It said nothing about wearing a swimsuit. Also it said nothing about food being provided for a cost. There was no time to even eat if we wanted to. Also I ended up getting hurt on the excursion and my accident was never reported to the ship and then when I got back onboard I went immediately to guest services who then sent me to the medical center, and they never documented that. So when I had to go back to the medical center because my wound was infected they kept having to try to find out what had happened. Then when I talked to the excursion services they said they would refund me my money and nothing has happened yet. Also they had the audacity to ask me if I finished the excursion after being hurt and I told them I had no choice because we had to hike back to where the tour began. Overall it definitely put a damper on my vacation and I am now dealing with my face being hurt and disfigured and praying that I don’t have anymore complications from this.
