Review summary

This was my 15th cruise, third Carnival and although we were excited I was still a bit unsure with Covid. Once on that faded quickly. EVERYONE on this ship was very nice and polite (even the teens on board). My daughter surprised her brother with a video from around the ship for his 11th birthday since he was not with us. She ran around getting people to sing, play or just scream happy birthday. Other than random guests she got the violin trio, DWI (our waiter), all three of our art auction staff, the band, multiple staff members and Cam had the entire Follies lounge yell Happy Birthday prior to the show starting. We sent him the two part videos via Whatsapp and he was so surprised he was nearly in tears. So a very special thank you to all the staff for helping Alyssa with that!

KunKun was our room steward and he was very attentive and of course made out towel animals each night. We had the same table seating area each night and can't say enough good things about DWI and Arya. We were always greeted by name.

Everything was clean, no issues. Layout was basic and easy to understand.

Cabin / Stateroom

No complaints about the cabin, we loved our extended balcony. Size was perfect. Only thing we noticed was that the couch was very dated.

Ship tip

Omelette station, pizza and Guys burgers have lines at the busy times but are worth the wait. ENJOY it all!!!

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Grand Turk Island

I thought I would like this port more than I did. Margaritaville could use a facelift, beach was very rocky and a 30 sec walk down the beach in search of a less rocky area brought us to what looked like an old abandoned resort, not attractive.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

LOVED IT!!!! We rented the hillside cabana. Had Brian as our host. We zip lined down whenever we went to the pool. This was the absolute perfect day, I just wish it could have been a little longer, 3:30 departure was too soon.

Wonderful trip. Can’t say enough about how great it was. I was on a Carnival cruise years ago and it was very lacking! Food was below par and not many activities.
