Review summary

This was not one of my best cruise experiences, the Carnival Legend is in need of a refresh; the activities were not interesting; the buffet food was not very good; and the balcony cabin was roomy, but in need of repairs and lacked modern conveniences like outlets by the bed and in the bathroom.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
I made the mistake of making the decision to park at the port, it took me 2 hours from the off ramp of the highway to park my vehicle, which is less than a quarter of a mile. There was only one way in and one way out.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The one bright spot in dining was the Steak restaurant, the service was excellent as well as the food. The ship had only one main dining room and it was always over crowded and the food was bland, the buffet was much worse.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
There weren't many onboard activities, mostly trivia.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The performers were not that great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service staff, as always on a ship, were professional, welcoming and always eager to help.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Although the ship was extremely clean, the layout and design is antiquated and in need of repair. The furniture in the cabin was damaged and there was only one outlet in the entire cabin.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
The size of the cabin was great and the cabin was very clean; however, there was only one outlet in the room at the desk. No outlet in the bathroom or by the bed. The rust on the balcony was alarming.

Ship tip

Bring two extension cords for the room and eat at the steak house.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

1 out of 5
The port is poorly laid out and it was hard getting in and around the parking lot.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The best part of the cruise, the process went smooth and we were off the ship fast. The luggage was readily available

Baltimore port is usually so efficient...hopefully it's back to normal soon.

We had a great time . Good customer service comedians were great ship was clean . Easy to get in and out of parking lot . Only down side Carnival needs to fix the front desk . Dimond and platinum should be for card holders as posted We had to wait 15 minutes while they were taking red blue and gold cards at main desk, same at check out . Great people and met a few new friends .

Honestly in 4 cruises from Baltimore, never found it overly difficult to get in or out.and the layout has always worked well
