Food and Dining

All food in the dining room, Buffett and the steak house was great as usual - with only one exception. The second dinner in the steak house during the week was extremely disappointing. I ordered a seasoned ribeye and expected the typical thick sliced juicy steak I typically get... instead I got a thin, extremely overcooked, dry steak that was full of grizzle. I tried but couldn’t eat it. I’m not kidding - that piece of meat would not have been served in the Buffet and I’m really surprised a chef was actually proud to have prepared and presented that to a customer. Extremely disappointing - especially since we pay a premium to eat at the steakhouse.

Entertainment

The band HOT SHOTS that performed in the Red Frog pub were amazingly talented. They did not shy away from any vocal ranges or guitar riffs. Truly amazing. I think some members are heading to different ships soon. I consider myself very fortunate to have heard this group while they were in one ship for a week.

Ship Quality

The Legend is an older ship and shows signs of age, however, the unique layout and floor plan along with the purple, red and brown colors/decor that differ from Carnivals typical 1970s orange shagadelic decor on other older ships was refreshing. I also personally thought the big scar on the bow of the Legend from the collision with the Glory a week earlier was kinda cool. A “battle scar” so to speak. The Glory definitely got the worst of that encounter.
Cabin / Stateroom

No complaints, however, the sink “gurgled” once in awhile, so future guests may want to anticipate plumbing issues in this cabin.
Ship tip
Try the green water slide that drops you straight down and over the side of the ship. It’s a blast!
