Review summary

This was an excellent short notice vacation that has us already wanting to cruise with Carnival again. We enjoyed our quiet times together and the interaction with both crew and customers. I really enjoyed the fact that Umo gave me a tour of the bridge (with the Captain's permission) and that really took it up a notch for a small ship Captain like me. I was like a kid on an airplane for the first time. Really geeking out on it all. I couldn't keep track of every staff member's name (shame on me) but I appreciate them all. Thank you to the guitarist that trusted me with his axe as I attempted to play Landslide behind that young lady's beautiful singing voice. What fun! Thanks Carnival!

N/A but I couldn't submit review without a rating. Even when I checked the Not Applicable box. Child free since 2019. All grown up and moved away.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

Arrived, boarded. That's all I expected for this port

Catalina Island, California

I love Catalina and didn't need an excursion. My wife and I just enjoyed a nice long walk in town and reminiscing about our honeymoon there almost 29 years ago. In retrospect I wish we had booked a dive there since we are now both PADI certified.

Ensenada, Mexico

Interesting to wander the backstreets. The excursion was poor and great at the same time. We didn't book through Carnival but through American Airlines website. We should have stuck to Carnival.

Piece of cake and faster than expected.
