Review summary
This 4 day cruise was a little getaway for us as we were extremely tired from fixing up our house to be sold. Then my husband ended up in the hospital for 5 days and I was ready to cancel the cruise. But he really wanted to go. He was discharged on a Sunday and we left the next day. It was a whilwind. My sister booked at the last minute to come with us. She was able to book a cabin down the hall from us. It all worked out beautifully.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze. My husband had just been released from the hospital the day before Embarkation and after this walk from the parking garage to the terminal he needed Wheelchair assistance and the Carnival staff were just great and actually wheeled him right onto the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
On Embarkation day we headed to Guys Burgers, of course! We only had one dinner in the main dining room. We just didn't feel like getting dressed up. All other meals we ate at the Lido buffett with no issues and the food was very good. Enjoyed Sea Day Brunch. My sister was with us and we both have a sweet tooth that couldn't be satisfied with what was offered at the Sweet Spot though. We ordered Room Service for us 3 adults and ate dinner in our cabin and had a great time being relaxed and eating.
Carnivale Dining Room
5 out of 5
We only had dinner in the dining room one time. We had YTD. The wait staff were very nice and the food very good. No complaints.
BlueIguana Cantina

I enjoyed it but my husband not so much.
Onboard Activities

We didn't utilize the activities
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward was the sweetest girl named Pat. She talked with us on a daily basis. She kept our cabin clean and tidy. We hated to leave because of her.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We loved the Inspiration. The ship was smaller than what we are used to but it wasn't an issue for us at all. The public areas were roomy and beautifully decorated. The ship was very well maintained and clean. My only wish was that there were more available cabins with a balcony. Not a suite but an ordinary cabin.
We had an Ocean View on Deck 5. The cabin was roomy and very comfortable as was the bed. I slept well every night.

Ocean View Cabin # M93
Overall comfort was great. The bed was super comfy. Our room steward left an extra blanket without me asking for one. She was very thoughtful.
Ship tip
I would say to just go with an open heart to have fun and enjoy all that the ship offers. Much to see and experience. If it's downtime you want you can do that too. The Shakespeare's Library is a quiet place to go read a book in a beautiful atmosphere.
Ensenada is so pretty with the hills, the ocean and the shopping. We didn't venture far from the ship though. There's a really nice building that is right across from the ship and has many vendors selling most of the same thing. It's fun to look around at the interesting things to buy.
As usual leaving the ship is bittersweet. However, since my husband requested wheelchair assistance off the ship we were able to bypass the usual lines. The wonderful Carnival staff escorted our party of 3 all the way to the dropoff/pickup area and while I waited at the curb with the luggage my husband was wheeled to the elevator at the parking garage.
Super great service.
Hi. I am just looking over my past cruises and this cruise was the very last one we took. My sweet husband passed away 3 weeks ago and I sure miss him. I will go cruising again but will wait and see what the CDC guidelines are.
