Embarkation

Not great. We had 7 travelers total. In November 2018 I purchaed drink packages for our entire group. 3 cheers packages and 4 bubbles packages (approximately $850) Upon getting on the ship and trying to get drinks we were told that 3 of the 4 bubbles packages didn't appear to have been purchased. Of course, I was puzzled as I had purchased them all together. I provided my receipt to show guest services that I indeed purchased them however, this was not good enough. I was told they needed to send an inquiry. So they sent the inquiry and we waited. Meanwhile 3 of my teenagers were thirsty and without drinks! I offered to buy some at the bar however, they don't have change or accept cash! Needless to say we were not happy. After 3 hours, I called guest services from our room to check the status of the inquiry, they had no idea when they would get a response. I waited another 3 hours and personally walked to guest services to check again. A very nice person called and got it cleared up with in 10 minutes. I spent the first 6 hours of my cruise trying to get this error fixed, frustrated and my kids were thirsty. Not a good start!!!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The food was not good! I have traveled many cruises and the struggle to get a warm good meal was real! So much so that I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich from the sandwhich place and they gave me two pieces of toasted bread WITH NO CHEESE. I had to go back, wait in line again and say "Hey, there is no cheese on my grilled cheese sandwich". They added cheese but failed to melt it. I had no words!

Onboard Activities

some of the activities were enjoyable and entertaining. However, on previous cruises the dining room entertainment was stellar. This fell quite short and was disappointing!

Paid over $300 for transfers. We were kept waiting 2 hours in the cold waiting for the bus to take us to the airport!
