Review summary
This was going to be our first cruise ever! A few hours before we leave, Hubby has a heart attack. I call to cancel the cruise. Can't do it because we were part of a group and they used a travel agent. I call travel agent. Their offices are closed or I get put on hold forever. I get a call from Carnival Cruise at departure time. "We see you have not boarded." I can't get my excursion cancelled either. I finally get to my computer and email everyone. Do we get any refunds/credits? The group did not purchase travel insurance so we lose more than $1000. Lesson? Buy travel insurance. Life is short. Cherish your loved ones.
