Review summary

We had a hard time getting to our cabin with FTTF but when we did our steward was awesome and greeted us immediately. The first night dinner was nice. The second day we were in Catalina FTTF was awesome there because the line wen around the boat on level 4. We had a great time. I think the best thing we did there was Catalina Room Escape Pirate themed. There are two escape rooms and this one is the best. We were disappointed The Casino was not open until after 6 pm which was after we left. The little beach just past it was cute. Getting back on the boat they did not have the FTTF option which was a little disappointing because they said there would be a line for that. But it wasn't a bad line. That night was elegant night in the dining room and our group had a great time. The waiters were dancing and our kids and some of us were dancing with them. I was surprised how many people actually got up and danced it was great. The food was always amazing in the dining room. Every other night we were there they did dancing. The 3rd day getting off was super easy we didn't need FTTF. No tender needed. Make sure you do not bring fruit off the boat. The excursions there were awesome. Don't buy the carnival excursions because you will be paying double or triple through the cruise. The bufadora excursion was amazing. Getting back on the boat we only had to wait min to get back on. The next day was a full sea day and we did some trivia. My favorite was Game Of Thrones Trivia. Upstairs my kids and husband and sister loved watching the Hairy Chest contest. Overall we had an amazing time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
All food was great except for some of the breakfast. The Seuss breakfast was terrible though. Seuss was a cute idea but the food was really bad.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There wasn't as much in the evenings that I liked to do. But most of the things that we did were awesome.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedian on the last night was funny a couple times but I feel like I wasted my time watching it. He was always laughing before his punch line and it got annoying.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My kids mostly liked it. They would rather go to the pool though but the evenings were fun. My 11 year old didn't like the Camp Ocean as much as my 7 year old niece. He was just one year away from the 12 year old group.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward was awesome. Always coming through. Although we had a broken toilet seat, he did call someone to fix it but the person never came. I went to the coffee shop every day and they got my order right every time and it was great. They even have almond milk. The pizza guys were awesome but they need WAY more help in the back. Our waiters were awesome and went above and beyond for us all the time. The shot guy that came to our table every night was great too. He went in the back and made us a special drink if we didn't like the shot he had for us that night. I had a hard time getting to our room though because everyone said since we had FTTF we could go to our room right away but they kept yelling at us saying the room was ready. I had to keep yelling at them that we had FTTF and our room is already ready. Other than that the rest of the time the staff was amazing.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was a little difficult to get around but the size was perfect for 4 days. We mostly stayed around the pool anyway. I always saw people continuously cleaning so it was pretty clean. One issues was the heavy doors for the kids and the raised doorways you have to really look out for so you don't trip. The decor was cute.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was clean. I didn't feel it was dirty at all. It was a little small so hard to get around with 3 people. The bathroom was surprisingly big though. It wasn't huge but 2 people could be in there getting ready. It was hard to get around the bunk bed. The bed was very comfortable but the bunk (upper pullman) was hard as a rock. The tv remote never worked when we wanted to watch at night.

Ship tip

Always watch your step. Bring a battery operated candle for the bathroom at night so you can see. It would be good to bring your own towel if they keep taking your blue towel (which they did). I wouldn't do the Seuss breakfast again unless maybe I had a child between the ages of 1 and 6.

Catalina Island, California

Catalina was very cute. Very small but lots to do in the time we are there. I thought the price of the excursions were way overpriced. The golf carts would be fun to drive around but it was just too expensive.

Ensenada, Mexico

We loved this place. The little area where they drop you off for excursions was so cute. The excursions there were a great price. Much cheaper than buying them form the cruiseline itself. The tour guide Monster to La Bufadora was awesome. It made our time fun. We got to stop and get a beer from the corona factory and he only went to the vendors he trusted and that's where we bought our souvenirs. The Blowhole itself was awesome but extremely crowded. We did get a chance to go up and take pictures though.

Very informative . Your room steward would have gotten you a new tv remote if you asked him. We had the same problem with remote a couple of times and they brought us one right away..that's the first thing I check.
