Review summary

We spent a lot of money to have a great family vacation. We got an email from Carnival to upgrade to the owners suite and were extremely excited for this cruise (big mistake). Two of our family members have sworn off cruising for good after this cruise! The air conditioner in our room must have been stuck on freezing and even one of the maintenance crew members could not fix it. All pf the beds except for the king bed in the bedroom were hard and uncomfortable. The food was was just okay. There did not seem to be as many activities as usual. This is the first time I have had something bad to say about Carnival. I can not come up with any positives except that the embarkation process was a breeze.

We had VIP embarkation and were walked all the way through and to our stateroom.

As usual the staff was great but for the first time I have to say that the food was not that wonderful this time around from cold grits on our sea day breakfast to over cooked chicken and very hard to chew beef medallions in the main dining room.

The waiters in the main dining room as well as the room steward were very nice. They all remembered our names and greeted us whenever they saw us.
