Review summary

Good short cruise, small ship, clean, not very fancy but good crew generally. Good variety of food, not fancy but decent food. One swimming pool, mainly used by kids and 2 general hot tubs and 2 over 21 hot tubs. Not all hot tubs available all the time. Be prepared for movement of the ship due to its small size.

Did this early, small lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Main dining room serving crew were fantastic. Lot of food available in sufficient variety.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Shows at night we’re good. The comedy shows were hilarious. Enjoyed other activities like Bingo, ice carving.... lot of things to do if you are so inclined.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Generally good.

Children's Programs

No children with us.

Service and Staff

Everyone greets you. Mostly with a smile (there are always some exceptions......). Dining room crew did everything they could to give us variety, serve quickly when we wanted to get to a show and were short on time and all this done with a smile and a joke!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was clean but small. Only 2 hot tubs for the over 21 age. Much of the time 1was out of commission. Small ship meant a lot of movement with the waves. Did not bother me but affected others in my group.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
In one word, good on all counts for what we paid.

Ship tip

It’s a small ship, be prepared for motion.

Ports of call

Catalina Island, California

4 out of 5
Small scenic port that you get to via a tender. You can prebook excursions directly with visitcatalinaisland.com tour company. Large variety.

Ensenada, Mexico

4 out of 5
It’s a typical Mexican town, not much to see. We did the excursion to La Bufadora to see the sea geyser. It was something different to see and you throw in shopping and a bus ride and it was a nice trip away from the ship.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Carried our own bags out and since we left early, small lines and quickly out. We parked at the Courtyard Long Beach and took Uber back and forth. Good value.
