Review summary

It was a great first Cruise as a SD team. My SD behaved as if he’s been cruising his whole life. I’d recommend this cruise to anyone wanting a few days away to relax and enjoy the sea air.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We were told the ship had no knowledge my SD would be traveling with me even though I’d sent the required information and paperwork. We had to wait till an employee from the ship came to get us and take me directly to the front desk where I again submitted our paperwork. Thankfully they did have copies of previously submitted paperwork and his potty box was onboard! The ship crew was very welcoming and helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We requested a table where we were close to exit and my SD wouldn’t be in the dining servers way or get stepped on. Some tables are not made with room for him to go under. The Maitre d assigned us the perfect place!

Ship Quality

The ship was very clean and our cabin steward was wonderful.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was decorated for my birthday a surprise from our friends! Our steward was wonderful, keeping our room clean.

Ship tip

Ships are floating cities. There are many people good & bad. Don’t let children wander alone or run wild, especially in the pool or cabin areas it’s unsafe and rude to other passengers. As an adult I’ve experienced rudeness just because I have a Service Dog, people who don’t believe they should be allowed on ships and he’s well behaved! Others who mistakenly think they have the right to pet him and get belligerent when told NO. Please be polite and enjoy yourself, it’ll make any cruise more enjoyable for everyone. Having fun is the reason why we cruise.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were waiting in long line when a crew member saw us and came over requesting us to follow her. She took us directly to the immigration office where we were to show our passports, given my SD paperwork and we were on our way to get our luggage. Carnival takes care of its disabled passengers.
