Review summary

I would not recommend Carnival to anyone that may need a special accommodation. Even after Carnival could not fulfill the request for an ASL interpreter nobody called us to let us know. The customer service once on the boat was terrible with trying to get this issue resolved. Customer service asked if we would like to get off the boat and travel back home alone leaving the other 17 people in our party on the boat to enjoy their vacation.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
We were told upon checking in that we had an ASL interpreter like requested months back and upon boarding the boat there was no interpreter. Customer service was terrible when trying to ask about the interpreter and when we told them that we would prefer to get off the boat I had to wait an hour while the guest services looked into the situation by this time the boat had already pulled away from the port.

Interpreter is not there responsibility

Out of 17 people in your party, not one of them knew American Sign Language? The cruise lines often make accommodations for special needs cruisers, but I've never known them to provide a deaf interpreter. Just sayin....

If you were that unhappy on the ship, Carnival would have refunded your money and flew you home from the 1st port you went to.
