Review summary

As our first cruise, there were so many things I loved about it. They give you plenty of activities to do, and all of the staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. They made everything very understandable, and were always polite and open. I loved that our room was constantly attended to, and throughout the cruise they sent little notes of love for our anniversary.

The only thing I can think to improve is the time you spend waiting for dinner. Of course they fed a lot of people on the boat, so the time it took to get our food was understandable.

I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't cruised before. It's a good taste of the cruise life!

If you order a queen bed just remember it's two beds pushed together, but it's manageable! The amount of room is perfect and it's nice to have a window overlooking the ocean.

Ship tip

The grand prize they advertise for bingo is not until the last day at sea, so if you participate in Bingo that's the best night to do it. Also, get to the ship on the first day early! Just before 11 am if you can. It will give you more time to explore and less time waiting in lines.

That's exactly what we are doing. Driving down 2 days before. Yeah, they did not buy insurance, we did.

Omg!! They must've been sick over that! I feel really bad for them! We almost missed our cruise on Princess to Alaska. It was our first cruise, and we used a travel agent. They assured us we should fly to Seattle that early morning, with plenty of time to spare. Wrong!!! We had airplane mechanical issues and had to turn our second flight around back to Cincinnati for repairs. Thankfully, 13 of the passengers were all booked on the same cruise, and we all kept calling Princess with updates. They held the ship for us for 3 hours. We asked what would've happened if we missed it, and they said we would have had to fly to the next port and get on the ship a day late. We learned a very valuable lesson to always travel the day before and stay in a hotel with free shuttle service to the port!

Hopefully we can venture out further with our next cruise. My friend and her parents were supposed to go on Princess to Alaska last month. They literally missed the boat.... traffic. $6000 down the drain. We have been friends for over 45 years, planning on celebrating!

We went on Paradise in January to Cozumel and Grand Cayman. I wouldn't recommend that ship,but the islands were nice. My only complaint about Grand Cayman was the wild chickens running around everywhere lol! Cozumel was beautiful and lots to do there.

I enjoy the waiting for our food, as it gives us time to socialize with our table mates. Ccrosscc, what cruise are you taking in December? We'll be on the Pride on the 18th-26th.

Thx for the great review. We've taken cruises every year for our anniversary since our 25th in 2013 and just love them. We will do the Imagination Mar 2017. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. Hope you have many more.
