Review summary
Although it was raining most of the time we had a great time!!
We found the ship super easy to navigate and laid out well. We really like that the promenade was below the lido deck so you did not have use the elevators to get from one to the other. The ship was super clean as well... felt bad for the fella who had the job of having to keep polishing all the brass hand rails it was a never ending project for him. The drink service was super fast and we found at the lido bar they are heavy handed when they pour drinks, cash tips really motivate this!!! We ate in the MDR 2 nights, service was fast and efficient no complaints with the dining staff at all. The food was ok I am not a fan of new menus but hey there was something for everyone. They did have table clothes both nights we were there. Buffet well its just that a buffet we all have been there and done that. The first morning for breakfast I noticed that my eggs and the sausage links were served cold. So happened to ask one of the cooks why and if it was safe to do so? He instantly went to check it out himself with a food temp thermometer and pulled those trays on the spot. Well about 10 minutes later he arrived back at my table with hot eggs and sausage and was beyond apologetic. Turns out he was the ships sous chef. He explained that someone forgot to turn on that portion of buffets heating elements. From that point on anytime he saw us eating something he made a point to come by and check on us. Which was nice but was not necessary and we told him that but he insisted. We also noticed that he interacted with many of the guests to insure everyone was enjoying there meals not just us. He took great pride in the food quality which was impressive. I also noticed that an officer checked the PH of the hot tubs several times a day to insure at the tubs were not sess pools this impressed alot of us and I felt good about using them. The entertainment throughout was really good. I was most impressed by TC the piano bar entertainer if you've ever been to the piano bar you know it can get crazy in there pretty fast and get R-rated And I think what impressed me the most is that when a guy came in with a young child it stopped even though that said it was ok. He even played some kiddo stuff just for her. Over all We were very impressed and will sail her again for sure in the future. On a scale of 1 to ten this sailing and crew gets a 15!! After 2 Carnival cruises all I can say is they have it figured out!!!
