Review summary
The Inspiration was the perfect 4 day cruise for a family "get together" as a Christmas Present for our small-ish family. Just ten of us, so made for a great "end of the day" over dinner (at a table for 10) after all had gone separate ways during the day. The ship is small enough that one could easily find the other members of our family if a need arose. Yet, she is large enough one need not worry about sea-sickness! Activities were varied enough to entertain all from age 11 through Grandma and Grandpa!
We also liked the itinerary: Catalina Island is close, yet one feels it different from rest of California, so almost like going to a different country but with no safety worries...Enough to do to entertain for better part of a day, yet not wear one out with touring! The sunset that evening as we left the island made our Grandson's proposal to his future wife all the more romantic!
Ensenada added the perfect touch for a cruise.....visiting a foreign country---with no worries about language or exchanging money. The American dollar is happily accepted in Mexico! The port is close enough and small enough so all feel quite safe wandering around yet close to the ship!

Ship tip
Wonderful for a small group with varying ages. Four days perfect for a "getaway"! Convenient for most Calif. residents, so no airlines to worry about.. While not a deluxe ship the Inspiration is comfortable enough for 4 days. Embarking and disembarking was a snap!
