Review summary

The ship was clean and orderly and the disembarking procedures were detailed and executed well. Not impressed with the decor or lack of features on this particular ship.

Food and Dining

Buffet areas were diverse in food offerings and convenient. The formal dining area was a bit cheesy with all the flashing lights. Also the whole process was rushed; our drinks (and some appetizers) were forgotten and within minutes of finishing our entree, the dessert menu was thrust into our hands. Not a comfortable experience. Also, portions were small and nothing special. My sons left dinner hungry when we attended the formal room.

Entertainment

many activities offered; fun family activities. Pool was SMALL and kids wouldn't go in because it was like a can of sardines (only 1 pool for 2000 + guests??); shuffleboard court in the middle of a main walkway; loved the gym and running track

Our children did not find much in the kids programs that they wanted to do outside the ordinary. This might be nice for younger guests

Service and Staff

Our room stewards were WONDERFUL- they kept our room tidy but also gave us info on excursions and procedures; great with the kids as well. Activity directors were knowledgeable and kept it fun. Guest services sent us around the ship to solve any issues- were not very helpful.

very clean; many tables were taped off because they were broken; good idea to have maps by the elevators

Went to Tulum and had a great guided tour. Enjoyed shopping on the mainland. Too many of the same shops on Cozumel.

Don't Miss: Swimming with the stingrays

Pros: I enjoyed the selection of daily activities

Cons: I don't believe the No Smoking rule was enforced as strictly as it needs to be and saw many people daily who were affected by others who were smoking while members of the crew stood by and said nothing.

Recommends Carnival Inspiration? No.
