The ship was a little outdated. Cheesy lighting in atrium, dining room, and other common areas. Very clean as you would expect. Service was average compared to other cruises we experienced.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Scheduled seating in dining room was worthless. We were rushed every meal. The food quality was below average and didn't meet our expectations. Example, large black tiger prawns were te 60-70 count per pound you would find at walmart.. and you would get 4 for the appitizer. The "maine lobster" was about 2oz. 1 (yes 1) bite! the buffet was just as good, but you always had to scramble for a seat if you had a large family. Deserts lacked flavor. After that, they sock you automatically with $5.50 in tips per person per day for the dining room and you didn't get the quality service you would expect.

Almost everything seemed to have a charge associated with it. $20 for a bingo card!
Children's Programs

I had 4 kids with me, age 11, 13, 15, and 17. There was nothing of interest to ANY of them within the childrens programs. If you had kids that liked to color in the ages of 4-8, it might be worth it. Forget the pools, they were packed like sardines... mostly adults. Forget the water slide, after a few trips (15 min) the bordom set in. There were never clubs available for the mini golf, and there was only 2 ping pong table. Feel free to bring lots of quarters, the arcade was available!
Service and Staff

Sad. If you don't like smoking, BEWARE! No enforcement the smoking policy and it was everywhere outside. I went to the guest services 3 times and only received "sorry, there's nothing we can do". Beyond my own expereinces, I was with about 75 guests that were told to meet in the lounge to watch the womens world cup game. We kept hearing excuses that the network was switching shortly, and 45 minutes into the game the cruise staff finally told us "oops", we won't get it. 60 of us went to guest services, asked if they would stream it to an internet PC and the person that claimed to be responsible wouldn't do anything. Told us that if we wanted to stream it over the internet to pay the $2.99 per minute to watch the second half. We were amazed that he wouldn't authorize $100 wifi service to satisfy 60 guests. We did try to watch (and pay) on our own, but the service was extremely slow... lots of viruses and popups on the internet pcs. VERY cheap and focused on bottom line.

It was well taken care of and continuously maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our rooms were well maintained daily, and the layout was great. The shower drain would backup through the other bathroom drain, which was a pain. Water pressure and temp was great.
The stingray and the snorkeling tours were fun. Cheaper to book over the internet than use the cruise ships excursions. We saved $30 per person for the same tours.
Loved the ruins. Ruins at Tulum was a must see. not only for the ruins, but the view of the coast line was great. Could also do some swimming on the beach at the site, which was a plus.
