Review summary

Overall it was an enjoyable trip. A longer cruise might get a bit stale for me but I would definitely go again.

Mini golf and the big chess set were our favorites.

Did not attend any shows

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The Stateroom Steward Eufracio and his wife were truly excellent and super friendly. Team Headwaiter Regalado, Team Waiter Eli and Asst. Tam Waiter Kathleen were really fun and gave excellent service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All of the areas were well maintained and straightforward to locate.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint about this cabin was noise echoing through the hull. Sounded like large carts were bumping and banging just below the room.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

Catalina Island, California

Avalon is just a neat place to wander around in

Glad you had a nice cruise! We were in the Imagination a couple of months ago and enjoyed her as well. You may surprised about longer cruises not being stale. We really embrace our sea days as much as port days. We have a 10 day cruise in September on a Fantasy Class ship (like the Imagination). Long cruises, shorter cruises, large ships, smaller ships, we’re happy... Enjoy!

Longer cruises are usually larger ships with more to do, and ports with more to do. We enjoy this cruise but if you liked it you’ll love a longer cruise 😊

Glad you enjoyed yourself enough that you are considering taking another cruise!
