Review summary
You get what you pay for on this cruise. Dont expect glitz and glamour or a luxury vacation.
I can't say enough about the cruise host, Benjamin. He was so much fun and made the cruise a lot better with his fun personality.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very easy and organized
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The food on this cruise was similar to that of a nursing home. Low quality even in the restaurants. There wasn't one thing our group could say was spectacular when it comes to the food on the Carnival Imagination.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The shows were fantastic. Many of the other activities seemed to be about the guest spending their money. Lots of sales pitches and it became annoying. And all the pictures which are SOOO expensive. We spent $65 on 3 photos. Those would have been $0.50 to print ourselves. All of the hot tubs were luke warm. How are you going to have a cruise in February and not have hot water in the hot tubs? Doesnt make any sense.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The music shows (Divas and the Rock show) were awesome and so were the comedy shows. This was one of the best parts of the cruise.
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Very good for the most part. Our steward knew all three of our names.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Could definitely use some upgrading, but good for the most part
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Clean and comfortable but theres a random window with no view and only one plug in in the entire room. The one in the bathroom wont hold a plug, it just falls right out. It made it difficult for three girls trying to get ready on top of charging phones
Ship tip
If you're looking for an upscale vacation with luxury, choose another cruise line. I feel like carnival is the poor man's cruise line.
Our excursion was awesome. We did the bar hopping tour. Our guide Rafu was awesome! The town itself was a little scary. I was glad to be with a big group.
