Review summary

The cruise was a bit hectic, not much time to relax in the quiet. We hit a storm and half of my party got sick. Catalina Island is gorgeous, and I 'll be going back, for sure. Bit will most likely just take the ferry. Ensanada was rainy with no beach. I wish I would have booked the extra day and made it down to Cabo. I will definitely not go again in Feb. The hot tubs were so full we couldn't get in. The food in the dining room was excellent, and the buffet was ok. The pull out couch was very hard and uncomfortable. But I'm very happy we had a balcony. The drink bill added up fast between all of us, But the kids had fun . And we have some fun memories to bring home. Not sure I'll do this one again .

Kind of lounge bar, casino style atmosphere.

They liked it, although I'm not sure what they did. My grandson said it was raining, so they just watched tv. I know they did a craft one day. I see the appeal of parents having some private time. But it was a family vacation, and wanted us to spend more time together.

Service and Staff

Our room staff was wonderful, but the bar staff and the buffet staff were not friendly.

The pullout couch was hard and uncomfortable , but I'm very happy we booked the larger suite. It's a small space to be crammed into for several days with kids. Especially when a couple of our party were sick. Room service was nice, but the food was sub par. The balcony was wonderful. But very windy in Feb.

Ship tip

Book a room with a balcony. And take advantage of the dining room instead of the buffet.

Beautiful ! Visit Seal Beach while you're here.

Catalina Island, California

Catalina Island was my favorite part of our journey. It's just lovely. Although, next time, I'll likely just book the ferry.

Ensenada, Mexico

It was a dreary rainy day, and no beach. I wish I would have booked the extra day to Cabo.

Disembarkation

Very rushed and loud. They were banging and drilling and doing maintenance on the deck during breakfast.
