Review summary
This Carnival cruise was a lot of fun. We can’t wait to go on our next one. If you’ve never tried it, you should start with this one. Short & sweet but a ton of fun!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Super quick process. We paid for faster to the fun & got through easily!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Everything was great, there was only one night that we opted for the buffet instead of the dining room. We had anytime dining & the wait was never longer than 10 minuets. Food was perfectly cooked, good variety. You won’t be disappointed.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There’s so much to do, mini golf, swimming, comedy, dancing, music.
Entertainment
Didn’t attend
Children's Programs
No young children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Anything you need, anytime. This is your chance to really relax.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
You definitely get what you pay for. Not the newest ship, could use an update but really, not a big deal. The food & service makes up for that. The only real issue would be the smell in the room, there was a constant smell from the bathroom, not horrible but still, it was there. Easy enough, just close the door. I imagine we could have changed rooms if I had wanted.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Larger than I thought it would be and other than the bathroom smell it was great. We had an inside cabin so no window or balcony but we didn’t spend a lot of time there either.
Ship tip
Make sure to go by the Taste Bar every night. You get to sample great food from the restaurants & it’s something easy to do while you’re waiting for your table.
We rented a golf cart & drove around. Then ate at Catalina Cantina based on a tip from a friend. Had a good time here. No wait for the tender either way.
The *best* time! We booked our excursion before leaving on the cruise & went kayaking to see La Bufadora. Loved every minute. The guides Carlos, Rebecca made it fun & educational. Don’t miss the tacos & pina coladas afterward either. It was our first time (5 of us) and they made it so easy!
ddad - have a great time! Eat dinner in the dining room, don't over analyze "formal night", eat @ Guy's & Blue Iguana, go to the comedy shows & the shows in the main lounge, order room service in the morning, read the fun times, go to sea day brunch, rent a golf cart on Catalina, do the casino tour on Catalina, do a winery tour in Ensenada!!!! Have a great time!!!! And DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!!!
