Review summary
If it's your first trip with kids give it a try. It's pretty cheap and the ports are fun to see. If you want a great time go to the Eastern Caribbean, tons more to do, better beaches, great history, culture and weather.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
They seemed to move us on and off the ship fairly quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Typical Carnival cruise. Average food, too many alcoholics and the stops are boring. For the money its a good trip but if you have been anywhere else it's a disappointment.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Not much to do if you don't drink. The shows were good when they had them but they had nothing for two of the four nights. Hasbro games were not very good.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
What they had was good but they need to have something good every night. The comedians were not good.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Service has gone way down with the mandatory tips. We didn't have soap the entire trip and every time we went to our room the crew were on their cell phones.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Average carnival ship. They claim its been refurbished but it looks exactly like it did when we went on it two years ago.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Nothing special. On the positive side, the toilet never backed up. :)
Really? They count this as a "stop" but that is a joke. If you fly in with all of you bags you can't really see Long Beach because you are toting around 4 suitcases. Uber helps but you still need to drag your stuff in and out of the restaurants.
