Review summary

I had a great time on this cruise. It was a perfect little get away. I booked only a week before for a get away for my birthday. It was a great value only around $50 a night for everything for an Ocean View room. Carnival sometimes gets a bad name, but you get what you pay for. But in my opinion they are great. There is no need to go with another cruise line for a short 2-5 day cruise. Anything longer then i would recommend another cruise line and spend more money.

This was a great cabin. It was right off the main elevators. Loved it.

Ship tip

This is an older ship but for a short cruise it is perfectly fine.

thank you both for your comments! I'm going to be a first time cruiser and reading some of these other stories has me a little worried, but I'm beginning to see that it just sounds like the cruises are what you choose to make of them and some people have Crystal Cruiseline tastes on A Carnival Cruiselime budget..

I do extended cruises on Carnival all the time and have never had a bad experience. I live in FL and can easily drive to any port so that saves money. Getting ready for 8 days and we were able to get a suite for the price of a balcony. Carnival is a great time and great value.
