Review summary
We all know that Carnival is known for the party atmosphere, but my husband and I do not party at all and still had a wonderful time. It did get loud from time to time on Lido Deck, but that's to be expected. There was nothing that occurred that was offensive or shocking. We never had any issue with noise in the rooms around us or in the hallway, so that was a nice surprise.
The staff was great. The room steward made sure to know our names and greeted us every single time he saw us, even in passing. Our waiter in the dining room was funny and made sure we were taken care of. The food was ok. It always seemed to be missing something to make it great. It was pretty bland.
Catalina Island was beautiful. We did not go on any excursions here, which we probably should have but we had a great time walking around and playing in the water. Ensenada would have been terrible if we had not booked an excursion to La Bufadora, especially since we didn't want to shop and we don't drink. The fish tacos at La Bufadora were spectacular. So good.
I highly recommend this cruise.
