Review summary

This was our third cruise and we agreed it was the most fun and enjoyable of the three. Ship staff were genuinely interested and friendly and we truly had a great time on-board. The 4 nights went by very quickly and we all wanted to stay longer.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate most meals in the aft cafeteria, but enjoyed ourselves immensely. My daughter didn't like the pizza crust but I thought it was very good. Lot of selection. The hours of service were not real clear but we had no trouble finding things to eat.

Children's Programs

Good kid's activities for my 8 year old. Water park was a huge hit. She was not a big fan of the salt water pool but we seemed to spend a lot of time in it. Not disappointed at all.

Service and Staff

This made the cruise. Really nice staff and very engaged with the guests.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Understanding that this is not a new ship, but it is very well maintained and seemed very nice. Doesn't have the ammenities of a lot of the newer super cruisers, but more than big enough to provide a great experience.

Going in June is a big plus since a lot of stores on Front St had great sales. The Aquarium was great for kids and the beach was good. Don't take young kids into most of the stores though as most shops display things which small kids should not be exposed to. The little mall was OK as was the more commercial venues; shirt shops and lot of the private souvenir stores though are very oriented towards college crowds (very sex oriented and not appropriate for youngsters). Need to be careful. We did not do an excursion but just wandered around after getting off of the free shuttle from the pier. Enjoyed our short visit but won't be coming on vacation anytime soon.

Mayan ruins were interesting, but concur with other comments that you don't get enough time to spend at the site. Worth the trip anyway. Nice beach so remember your swim suit. We spent more time traveling than on-site. The cooperative visitor center had nice things but seemed very expensive. We didn't try to haggle with them but it did not seem the type of place where prices could be negotiated. Didn't have a chance to hit the flea market outside Tulum.

Pros: Very friendly ship staff made a world of difference
