Review summary

To say I would not recommend the ship is wrong it is a fun way to enjoy a vacation and you are the one who makes the cruise fun, but there were some big differences between Royal Carribean and Carnival the boat pretty much smelled like a bus station in many areas, "its an old boat" just in from a cruise and back out the same day it's likely only out of service every 5 +years, the mechanics of the boat are starting to fade, the midsection elevators which were being worked on were failiing when we got on one of them it began to malfunction leaving us wondering for a brief scary period of time it we would be able to get off - I told the mechanics working on the adjacent elevator and they seemed to take little regard i suggested a lock out/tag out but they did not seem to act if an elderly or disabled person is stuck between floors the issue could affect the safety of the passanger, The Food well cutting corners is the name of the game these days and it was very apparent in the area of food with only free watered down lemon aid or coffee to drink (except breakfest orange juice/jpassion fruit juice) runny scrambled eggs and bacon that had enough oil to run the ship - its pick and choose wisely and the hours of operation for the Buffet were limited as well compared to Royal Carribean or Princess if your eating in the main dinning room - the portions will make you feel like your on a diet and the wait after ordering is painfull - order 2 meals, appetizers and the like this works on any cruise as often the meals are not as you expect mind you Im 5' 8" and only 175 lb not a big boy by any stretch the waiters will take no mind you bringing you extra orders and they want you to be happy lets face it most of the dishes are just that lots of dish some garnish and a little food, my room had an ocean view thru a some what clean window yes that beautiful view was best blocked out by the curtain for those in cabin pictures, the bathroom was subject to a particularly nasty septic smell I requested it to be cleaned they did but it still smelled like a port a potty when the lid was open and not terribly good when it was down = like i said this is an old boat, be carefull in the water slide area as the blue plastic is slippery and I fell my girlfriend nearly did as well the area probably claims several Knee surgeries a year! the water slide is cool but pretty dosile still fun for a few hours

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The buffet was just a small cut above a cafeteria the main dining room food was pretty good but average they are cutting corners only free drinks are watered down lemon aid and coffee except breakfeast orange juice / passion fruit juice and its cafeteria style self service at it's best

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It's an ok layout not that much to do but it's ok for one maybe 2 days at sea

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
The room was nice and the bed was comfortable but the smells eminating from the toilet were pretty nausiating - got it cleaned and it still leaked sewage gas yea it took a while to get used to - thats not a great way to spend a cruise keep the lid closed or you will wish you hadn't smell reminisant to a port o potty in need of cleaning, the room view was beautiful but the window as not clean enough to want to take a picture with the curtins open

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
Fun town for walking and shopping
Don't Miss: Sloppy Joes, and the Pirate bar where Hemmingway liked to frequent

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Went to see the Myan Ruins which while very interesting were time consuming to get to and not amazing sights would rather have just gone snorkling all day and shopping on the way back to the ship
Don't Miss: Snorkeling

Pros: Room size

Cons: Cafeteria Quality Food, Boat Smells like a Bus Station
