Review summary

The cruise itself was very fun and entertaining. We had a bit of trouble with the cruise personnel as they continuously skipped our numbers and got our luggage incorrect. I also had several situation where the cruise line had taken out my onboard purchases by the purchase, then turned around and decided to take out the same amount but in a lump sum. The first time was on the cruise, and the second time was after I had gotten off, now my account that I had used for spending on the cruise is negative and the charges are still pending because Carnival took out two identical payments. One being in single charges, and one being a lump sum. They are equal in amount, however, I cannot use this account because the charges are still pending.

The cabin was roomy and nice, and the washroom doubled as a nice space for my bathing suit and wet items.

Ship tip

The elevators are controlled by the floor that you are deciding to go to, so sometimes they take a long time to arrive. Sometimes you may be better off taking the stairs.

This was very fun, we went on a tour. The island is beautiful. The announcements were incorrect that they did not call our party for debarkation.

Disembarkation

The cruise personnel skipped our numbers for disembarkation. And one of our luggage pieces was placed with the incorrect disembarkation group. We spent 30 minutes looking for the missing luggage.

That is why I only attach a specific credit card I only use for cruise travel. I also buy cruise cash(if it is Carnival) and add extra to my account. I know it maybe overkill, but when I am ready to leave the ship, I dont want to stand in the naughty line first

Same thing would of happened with the charges regardless if you sailed Royal, Celebrity, Princess, MSC, NCL, or HAL. Never use a card that is linked direct to a banking account or is technicality a prepaid "debit" card. These differ from traditional credit cards, as their payments are considered electronic transfers not charges and in some nations it can take up to 30 days to reverse an open pending charge (hold) even when the vendor (cruise ship) reverse the transaction in favor of a final total one.

That is a bummer. Have to stay on top of them. Carnival charged us once for drinks when we weren’t even in the boat. Our flight cancelled so we met at the first port. I asked how we could be charged when we hadn’t checked in. They had no answer 🙄
