Review summary

It was nice. The staff were really nice. The extra charges to the room card was too much. My next trip will be with a company who offers more inclusive packages.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I'm giving a 5 star to the female Bartender at the Alchemy Bar. She makes her own signature drinks and she is super friendly. I truly enjoyed her service. I find it terrible that most of the food and drinks were not inclusive.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The pool and hot tub were nice, just crowded.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The performers were really entertaining, energetic, and really talented. I really enjoyed all of the entertainers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I stayed in room 9375 and housekeeper for our room was super friendly and he cleaned our room thoroughly. We even came back to our room each day with a cute animal made with towels on our beds.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship's design is really confusing at first. But as the days go by, it gets a little easier to navigate.

We cruise often and enjoy the different ships. There are few cruise lines that are all or nearly all inclusive, and those are the high-end luxury lines. If you enjoy drinking alcohol, soda, milkshakes, special coffees, the Cheers package is a good choice. It is optional on Carnival as many passengers do not drink often or not at all. We have done all-inclusive resorts but enjoy cruising for the itineraries to see different ports and meet people from different cultures. You can do both and try different cruise lines and resorts to find your niche. Happy vacationing.

If you enjoy drinking, it makes sense to buy the Cheers package. There are several places to eat that are included, and it is your choice to eat at the "for fee" restaurants. We sail a lot and rarely have extra charges not booked before we board so we know what we are spending. It takes a few cruises to get the details down, or perhaps an all-inclusive resort or cruise would be more to your liking. Do a little research and you may find your niche.

You can spend as much, or as little, as you want onboard. There are no charges except those you agreed to previously or onboard.

You chose this cruise. I don’t understand the complaint about it not being inclusive.
