Review summary

We always have so much fun on Carnival. We took 2 newbie cruiser families with us and they are now hooked! Cannot wait to get back on!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and quick! Was on board in less than 20 minutes with a group of 13!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The MDR was excellent every time we ate there. Everyone in our group was over satisfied and the children gobbled everything down!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the comedians, bingo and Deal or No Deal. The kids enjoyed the sky ride, ropes coarse, sports square. They played in the ping pong tourney and the dodgeball tourneys and had a lot of fun! The men in our group played in the bean bag toss tourney. There was always something going on!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We did not attend any stage shows. The musicians we came across on board while walking around were good. Didn’t pay much attention. DJ’s were good, especially for 80’s night and the white party!

Children's Programs

My 12 year old went a few times and enjoyed it. Not much going on or many kids. He went a few times and they were closed. He tried a scavenger hunt with his cousin and said it was boring. I do appreciate that they have this available and the staff tried their best!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Most of the MDR staff were great! Very friendly! Our room steward, Musta was very friendly and our room was always done up nicely when we returned. The bar staff at Pig and Anchor became fast friends! Peachy, Danni and Ratree.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I thought the ships layout flowed nicely. We have been on the Vista so common layout. I am directionally challenged and mostly figured it out.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was great. Enough space for my husband and I and our 12 year old. He really liked the pull down bunk, said it was really comfortable and slept great every night. Our bed was comfortable. The cabin was always clean and we enjoyed the balcony! AC worked great!

Ship tip

Enjoy every minute! It is over before you know it. Make friends with the staff! Be kind and appreciative.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Only stayed the night before embarkation here so not much to say.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Our group loved Aruba. We caught a few taxis to Eagle Beach and spent the day playing in the sea, sun and sand. Ate some dinner at a restaurant/bar right there. Can’t remember the name but great food and service.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
We walked off the ship and along the boardwalk. Went to the bridge and the love locks. Took some fun pictures. Stopped at It’s 5 O’clock somewhere restaurant/bar on our way back and enjoyed delicious cocktails and appetizers. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.

La Romana, Dominican Republic Did not visit port

The Carnival area looked nice from the ship but there were some fun things going on onboard that day so we decided to stay on the ship.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

We had so much fun here. We walked to the top beach bar, drinks were strong and yummy. The view was awesome. Ended up at the pool with a lazy river, water slides, swim up bar, good music and punchbowl drinks.

Disembarkation

It is what it is. No one wants to get off but everyone wants to get off. The ship was cleared by customs an hour late. We had 4 different muster stations so we stayed on until the last one was called. Most everyone was off by then but my son and I got stopped on the ship and the rest of our group were stuck in the gangway because there were too many people going through at once.
