Had a lovely time on the Horizon's Havana area. Will definitely book there again when sailing on the Horizon, Vista or Panorama. The Vista class ships have some great pros and a couple cons, but in general nice ships. The service was excellent which makes for an enjoyable cruise on most any ship. Cruise on!

Food and Dining

We ate dinner every night in the MDR with Our Time. There were only two meals among the four of us that we were not impressed with and that was the tiny fried chicken and the overcooked beef brisket. The majority of the our other meals were excellent. Breakfast in the MDR was excellent too. We rarely ate at the buffet, but when we did the food was good. Guy's Burgers shined as always and I enjoyed a everything on the seafood platter at the Seafood Shack except the way over battered fish filet. The breading was so thick that it didn't fully cook.

We went here for complimentary lunch one day. The couple we were with really enjoyed the bowls they had, my husband and I thought ours were okay (not sauced enought), but the menu choices were minimal and the service was not attentive at all. It's a bit of a cramped feeling space.
Onboard Activities

We really enjoyed the Havana pool and hot tubs. They were rarely crowded, though there were times when lounger space was minimal. The service on the Havana deck was outstanding--they learned your name and were very quick to converse and ask if there was anything you needed. Towels flowed freely on the deck with a convenient towel stand, which was great. We used the walking track which was nice
Entertainment

We were very disappointed in the big production of Celestial Violins. The costuming was great, the music while not very engaging was performed technically well, if you were in the balcony you couldn't see the set with gazebos they had put up on the main floor instead of the stage, and the music overwhelmed the lyrics so it was impossible to follow the plot.
Joey, the cruise director did a great job with the Love and Marriage Show which was the show we enjoyed the most in the main theater. The main theater in general was poorly designed--they really screwed that up. Hardly a good seat in the house where you can see the stage well. The one comedy show was okay. Music by their rock band was always good and we sat in the Ocean Plaza several times to enjoy their performances.

We had excellent service wherever we went on the ship. Even management took the time to stop and talk with us several times about what we thought about things.

We missed the glass elevators, but the layout was easy to learn for the couple we were with who hadn't been on a cruise ship since their honeymoon 35 years ago. Everything was clean and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a Havana Cabana on deck 5. This was our first experience and our favorite part of being in a Havana Cabana was not what we expected. We expected to be on our "porch" much more but the seating was weird and uncomfortable. The wicker was slick and the little thin pads they used were useless. I ended up wrapping some bed pillows in towels one day to get comfortable sitting out there for a while on one of the chairs that is half reclined, cannot be adjusted and was awful to try to sit in, even with the ottoman. They need a couple regular chairs so that you could enjoy a meal together. The only decent seat was the hanging one which was fairly comfortable. What we really enjoyed about our porch was how easy it was to walk out and down to the pool in just a few steps without ever entering air conditioning. So convenient. The cabin was a typical balcony cabin, very comfortable and amenable.
Enjoyed just walking around here and getting a drink and appetizer at Rakum's. Fed the fish there from a table right next to the water. Will visit again when we are back.
