Really enjoy going on cruises the food the ports live music comedy shows theatre shows that something extra watching a movie on a cruise for the first time. Not having the hassle of arranging everything yourself like food lodgeing entertainment travel to different areas/islands/countries

The chicken Parmesan was great lasagna great the lobster was pretty good and 5$ is not bad for a third the beef Wellington was pretty amazing. The veal schnitzel was below average though was tough like they forgot to tenderize it first

Tides Bar

It’s kinda nitpicky but was at the late night snacks (midnight buffet) and they closed like 15 mins early so didn’t get to get a soda with my snacks
Bonsai Sushi

Was a pretty nice place we’re happy to accommodate special orders could of used a quieter place in the ship though the miso soup was pretty good and nice amount you get 8 pieces and they normal size they used real crab so had a different taste but I’ve have real before and it’s better
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There was a few times through the cruise where they was little to do so wasn’t uncommon to have to wait 15-60 mins for the next interesting event to start do enjoy trivia like the Halloween themed wanted to do the mythology but it was during my excursion 😅.
Entertainment

Really enjoyed soulbound and the sunny violins were great very talented. The long haired guitarist for big daddy was great too. the disparity between them and the djs was pretty big though the DJs played a lot of junk. and the silent disco is way better on royal than carnival. the 2 channels on carnival were basically the same modern day music and reggae while on royal they had modern day and oldies. Wish carnival would bring back marvel/superhero trivia or make some Rick and morty trivia.
Carnival Seaside Theater
4 out of 5
Got to see several good movies throughout the cruise it was strange though that they showed September movies only the first day then switched since they considered it a September cruise in other areas but still enjoyed myself
Limelight Lounge

Carnival Multiplex
5 out of 5
Went to it twice in 1 day first decided to see the creator which was a pretty kool experience it’s a nice theater don’t know why they don’t have it on more than just horizon and vista but saw creator in imax and then later Hubble in 3D was pretty good pricing 17$ for a first run imax movie bout standard and Hubble was like 7$ cause it was under an hour
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The staff was pretty good there was a few hiccups like I mentioned the bars and ice cream places closeting 10-15 mins early sometimes and on lobster night I asked for a third lobster and he continued to bring desert then I mentioned it again and he said it’s a extra fee (5$) which I was already aware of and ready to pay then he went ahead and brought it nuthing major though just a few small problems. The good though was several of the staff were extra pleasant and talked to us and got to know us through the week so that’s always a plus
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
While my favorite ship design is of the old class the glory is in the horizon is in my eyes a better ship than celebration in many ways the imax theater is one of those ways unfortunately the thrill theatre is closed 😢 loved doing it in 2020 and was looking forward to doing it again. The main issue with celebration the design seems discombobulated and stuff is placed in random places unliked horizon which seems to me and my party a much better design
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
It was a interesting layout instead of the usual straight back cabin it turned to the side was the first time in a cabin like that only issue with it was my father who was with me couldn’t see the tv from the bottom bunk very clearly due to my bed hanging down the top was a clear view though. It didn’t really have any furniture ex chairs or sofa but was really a moot point(nonissue)we usally just pile our souvenirs on the trip. Our steward did a good job keeping it clean and made the beds each day and restocked the bathroom towels which kinda unusual only 3 other rooms like it on the floor it worked for us
Would be better but some was left off of the damajagua waterfalls and zip line excursion though it’s a long strenuous hike to the hike with a lot of change in elevation and steps and didn’t know it was gonna be different than a normal waterfall there’s big landing areas that are probally 15-20+ feet deep and you go down a long ways after the natural slide it’s cool and refreshing though the guide was great though came around after the waterfalls and gave everybody some refreshments coke or sprite then again after the zip line which was pretty good even though was tired as hell after the hike which was probally several miles don’t know exactly cause you leave your phone on the mega truck but you wouldn’t want to break it on the slides so meh what can you do. Then after the zip line was more refreshment and lunch the chicken they offered was dry as hell though 🥺
Did a guided tour seeing the sights of the island was pretty interesting. Was kinda strange though when I was here in 2020 the guides said it as kirasao when this time they pronounced it as curasao which I like the second better just an interesting tidbit. We did get a little extra on our tour got to see a flamingo habitat as a bonus.
I did the walking tour around the capital and tast wing tour it was a nice tour the only real problem is we had a big guy on our tour and they only gave our water once which is not enough for some ppl for me it was acceptable though. Overall though Aruba is beautiful and a wonderful place was happy to come back here on the same ship
Went to a bunch of places definitely did not have a baseball stadium skybox on my cruise bingo ticket though the caves we visited was pretty interesting though
Wonderful detailed review! Yes the elevator does take some getting used to. If passengers would just take the time to read and follow directions that would help. Glad you had a great time on your cruise.
