Review summary

First cruise for our children and my mother. Good was great. Room stewards were wonderful! Big shout out to Avon & Rudy!

Embarkation

Port workers contradicted each other non stop and had us going back and forth repeatedly. Everyone outside was incredibly rude behaved as if everyone should know everything and they should not be bothered. We will not go back to this port.

Camp Ocean was amazing! We loved it. Circle C was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. They advertised tons of activities and my 12 year old was desperate for activities. They did one thing the entire week. The rest of the time it was just workers on their laptops doing their own things. No activities. My daughter would rush to something so excited and be back 20 minutes later and say they never did anything. I wish they would have let her join the oldest group at camp ocean so she could have had something. Club O2 same thing. Just a bunch of teens unsupervised with no activities that actually happened.

Top notch as always!

Ship Quality

I will never sail on a ship like the Horizon again only a couple decks go all the way through so you spend HOURS going up two decks then across then back down two decks just to get to dinner or a kids program. It was AWFUL. Just terrible design. The layout was the worst.

Disembarkation

Again worker after worker giving opposing info. We had faster to the fun and keep being told we couldn’t leave then that we could then that we couldn’t and one even said to us “you should have told me you were faster2the fun” which we had multiple times. I know it is a stressful thing embarking and debarking but it really made a large negative impact on our vacation.

Sorry your older child did not like club c. My son has been going for years and has experienced all the clubs and has loved everyone. He is in O2 club now. The kids in the club can make a difference. Bust of luck finking a better cruise. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the review. We are sailing this ship in Nov/Dec- hoping embark/debark is smoother!

Appreciate your detailed feedback feedback. Glad Camp Ocean was a success, sorry about the situation for the older children. Glad you enjoyed your family cruise in spite of embarkation and debarkation.
