Review summary

Had a great time but will never go on an older ship again. will go with Mardi Gras class of ships. much more room to spread out and not 20 people in the hot tub at one time.

Excursion we booked through Cheap Cruises cancelled. They said trolley broke down. Never Again!!! had to now book an excursion wit carnival. More money!!! Beach we went to on the carnival excursion was full of rocks. Kept stubbing my toes on them. Overall atmosphere was cheap. Not befitting of a cruise excursion.

I am sorry to read that your experience on the Horizon wasn't the best. Last August was our first cruise. We sailed out of Miami on the Horizon. We were in a balcony cabin on deck 6. It was the most incredible experience for us and we truly fell in love with cruising as a result of that. I'm wondering if you sail on her again perhaps later in August or September/October maybe your experience will be much better. Mardis Gras is on my cruise bucket 🪣 list. What is your most favorite thing about the MG 🤔 Thanks

The Horizon is not considered an older ship. It's only been sailing for 5 years. In Cozumel all you have to do is take a taxi to one of the many beaches. No excursion is needed.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Glad you enjoy the bigger ships, but I think I’ll stick with smaller ones. Happy you mostly enjoyed your cruise.
