Review summary

Staff was rude. I was not able to get a drink at the casino. Anytime I wanted a drink I had to go get it myself. Food in the main dining room was horrible and I came back positive for Covid

Half eat cake left in my cabin. Makes me wonder if they cleaned the cabin prior to my arrival

We are doing our 75 th cruise on Carnival on the 25 th of Sept . It will be on the Horizon . We have been on it a few times , had NO problems. But , I will agree about the bar service in the Casino . If it got any slower , the waiters would be at standstill ! Since there is no casino bar , they take forever to serve a drink ,

I was on the same sailing as you and honestly I had a fantastic time all the staff were amazing. The casino did take really long to bring drinks but other than that I had nothing else to complain about. I didn’t come back with covid and neither did anyone in my group. On the Face book chat for this sailing people did come back with covid or they tested positive onboard and were taken to isolation but we all take that risk getting on board. I’ve been on 3 cruises of carnival since May and have not had any problems. Will be sailing on the sunrise in November. Sorry you had a bad experience but truly carnival is my favorite and have never had a problem. As I am platinum at only the age of 20.

I'm sorry you caught covid but that's not the cruiselines fault. You take that chance anytime you do anything in public now.

Half eaten cake in the room is NOT a good sign. But the food being horrible might just be because you caught covid.

Sorry your cruise was not what you expected. I had relatives on Horizon in August they had a great time and thought the food was very good service excellent . As Lincoln said “you can’t please all the people all of the time “

Staff shortages are not the problem of those people who pay good money for a standard that is expected regardless of the pandemic, if the cruise line does not have the staff to take care of the ships passengers then the passenger numbers should be reduced so you do not get an inferior service. Too many people accepting a second rate service, would you accept a second rate service in your everyday lives and pay good money for it?

Thanks for the review. Cruising is not the same as it was prior to Covid. Staff shortages and cutbacks are common across all cruise lines.
