This is our fourth time on the Horizon. We love the ship and the ports of call. We have even done a b2b on this ship with the 6/8 day sailing. One of our favorite ships.

The food in the main dining room was ok. Not as many selections but we still enjoyed it. The lido buffet was ok as well. We only had one meal at the steakhouse and it was very good but make sure you are hungry. It’s a lot of food.
Onboard Activities

We mainly relaxed on this cruise. Enjoyed serenity and the theatre. The stage shows were very good as well. We didn’t go to the gym this time but they do have an excellent one on this ship.

Ship Quality

The Horizon is very clean as are all of Carnivals ships. There were a few warm areas (hallways near doors and elevators) but since you aren’t there long it wasn’t a big deal.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was a nice size and very comfortable. We did have some trouble with the sink and shower draining well but the plumber came immediately and fixed it.
Ship tip
Don’t be intimidated by the elevator system on the Horizon. It’s easy to figure out and very efficient.
Not a great experience. Delayed a bit but not Carnivals fault. They had some trouble with a couple of guests but I’m sure they handled it as best they could.
Thanks for sharing! I saw recent negative reviews about the cruises lately so it’s nice to see some positive ones to balance out! I’m going on December 4 and bringing two friends who have never cruised before so I hope they have the good time that I usually do!
