We had 4 people in a cabin and it was roomy enough. I would absolutely recommend a balcony, it was just the extra space we needed and it was our own quiet space to get away from the busy upper decks of people.
Not much to do in this port and security/safety was an issue outside the gates. We did the Choo-Choo train excursion.. Our excursion had armed security/police surrounding us the entire time. I would not recommend this excursion. Other guided excursions were safe and good, but not ours. Can not walk outside the port gates alone due to safety. I would not recommend a self guided tour of this port.
Our excursion was good and the port area here was excellent. Well built by carnival. Lots of shops right outside the shop and the setup of the port was excellent. Taxis waiting, excursions set up good for finding your right one. Water park at the port for free. Lots to do here even if you didn’t book and excursion.
