We had an awesome time! The weather was perfect! Cozumel was unbearably hot. The food in the MDR, steakhouse, and The Blue Cantina were fairly decent. Guys burgers, which I’ve loved, didn’t taste the same. Guys Pig and Anchor was the opposite! The free buffet is nothing like dinner at the restaurant. It was amazing! The trash can chicken nachos are unforgettable! We loved Rawle in the piano bar and DJ Randy did an excellent job catering to different crowds and genres of music. The 90’s party on the Serenity deck was everything! I can’t wait for Carnival to send the guest survey. The ship was clean and beautiful. The staff all professional, accommodating, and friendly. The bed hugged me every night and did not want to let me go. It was summer so of course it was crowded but even in that, we had a blast!
Embarkation

A breeze! There was a delay in arrivals by four hours. We were notified multiple times beforehand and provided a $20 onboard credit per person, for lunch and the inconvenience. Passengers were informed to arrive for hours later than our previously scheduled check in time. Of course there were hundreds of people that did not follow directions. Carnival wasn’t having it! If you chose to come in ahead of your scheduled arrival, they made you wait until your time arrived. However, we arrived at the correct delayed time and literally went straight to the front of the mile long line, escorted by a Carnival employee. We completed VeriFLY ahead of time, as instructed and within 15 minutes, put our bags in our cabin and headed up headed to the lido

Food and Dining

The food was good just about everywhere we went. I avoided the buffet for the majority of the cruise. Breakfast was always in the MDR for us. I am obsessed with the Cuban coffee from the Havana bar!! It’s way better than the other coffee shop on the ship. Guys Pig and Anchor and Fahrenheit 555 for dinner, absolutely delicious! The bartenders at Pig and Anchor were our favorites.

Onboard Activities

The pools and hot tubs were too crowded for our liking. The trivia was cool and the roller coaster was as well but there wasn’t an activity that stood out. The Corn hole competitor was fun. Donkey is not a fun CD, at all. We’ve unfortunately cruised with him too many times. It doesn’t keep any party going and desperately needs new dances for himself and the crowd. He is not personable, at all.
Entertainment

DJ Randy and Rawle were super fun. The comedian I saw was not funny. I didn’t make any other shows.

It was clean and ready when we arrived. It was a basic balcony cabin.
Ship tip
Wear your masks in crowded places and try to maintain a decent distance from others when possible. There was several cases of Covid on board and according to our Facebook cruise group, hundreds of people tested positive when they got home. We were blessed not to have contracted the virus aboard the ship.
We climbed Dunn’s River Falls on a Carnival shore excursion. I’ve been several times but never actually climbed. It was my friend’s birthday and we were required to do so. It was exhilarating, scary, fun and never again. If you go, do not forget your water socks! Great memories!
They’re just not too much to do in Cozumel. The heat was unbearable!! Omg! We made you to the end of the pier to Fat Tuesdays. We were seated in the shade, doing nothing but breathing and sweat was dripping everywhere. We sat there for two hours, took a few pics, and headed back to the ship.
I was on the same sailing. I agree keep your social distancing in mind. It seemed ppl packed in elevators and small spaces constantly. We had a group of 9. 2 of us tested positive but all is good we just feel like we had a cold. It’s not carnivals fault, they took all precautions and were very sanitary the whole time. We knew going into vacation covid was a risk, but a risk we were willing to take. We are planning our next cruise for December
