Loved the Horizon! Loved the Cove Balcony and highly recommend booking them. The staff was excellent and can’t wait to go again!

It seemed like the food on Lido was always the same and wasn’t always available. For instance, when we got back on board from excursions we wanted to get a quick snack and the only food available was Guys burgers or pizza and both lines were super long.

This was our first steakhouse experience and the food was amazing! If you have ever wanted to try the steakhouse but was on wavering on whether it is worth the extra cost….do it! It is well worth the 38.00 to go!

The Horizon staff was awesome! Our server in the dining room, Jenni was great! She was very attentive to our needs, cracked jokes with us and treated our group of 10 like she had known us for years!
Our room steward was Daniel and he was always there in the morning with a “good morning”. Did a great job keeping our room looking nice!

Love the cove balcony! It was so nice to be close to the water! Highly recommend staying in one!
Ship tip
For our group we quickly learned that deck 5 was the central meeting area because all the bars we liked were on deck 5.
We did a tour with Seavis Tours. It was amazing! They took us on a speed boat to a sand bar where we got to see star fish and they gave us rum drinks and snack. It was so beautiful there! Next we went to a snorkeling area. We didn’t snorkel. After snorkeling we went to a beach for lunch and swimming. The lunch and drinks was great! I think the tour was about 4.5 hours. Only negative was the photographer that they had. He got very upset with my husband because he didn’t buy his pictures and it wasn’t just once but twice he got nasty with my husband. Finally the guy in charge sent him away and apologized to my husband.
We rented golf carts for Bonaire Cruisers. Super fun excursion! It was a little difficult at first trying to figure out where to go but once we got on the right path it was great! I would recommend going to the salt flats first as we didn’t have enough time to fully go around the loop. Make sure you bring something to drink with you as we found it difficult to find a store open for drinks in the morning.
We did the carnival jeep excursion. It was extremely bumpy. The tour guides were great. We seen the lighthouse but didn’t pay the $5 to go up in the lighthouse, the natural bridge, ayo rock formations and the ruins. All had about 15 min stops. FYI- you get charged $1 to use the bathroom each time you go. I thought it was just at the lighthouse but it was even at the resort we went to. Not my favorite tour but it was fine.
We did an all-inclusive resort at Sunscape resorts. Do not go here! It was a terrible experience. The beach isn’t very pretty nor is the water. There were vendors on the beach that harassed us to the point that we had to leave the beach and go to the pool. Now I know this is normal on the islands but usually once we say no they leave us alone. That didn’t happen. The food was terrible and they wouldn’t let us eat at the normal buffet because we were wet from the pool. 3 of the 4 of us had stomach aches after eating there. Really regretted doing this.
