Review summary

We had an excellent time, met great people, the Carnival staff was exceptional as usual. The new muster station procedure was quick and efficient. My big complaint is the smoking in the Casino! it is just awful, as you sometimes have no choice but to pass thru. The areas around the Casino are terrible as well, like waiting in the Pixel photo area. The smoke is obnoxious. My clothes smelled like sXXX(excuse the language). There is absolutely no need for this to be still occurring in this day and age. It is time Carnival caters to the non smokers and let us enjoy the Casino and some fresh air. I feel I am denied the use of the Casino, and this is not fair. If they are going to continue to cater to a few smokers, just to make a few bucks, I will consider looking for non smoking cruise lines. There are a lot more non smokers who would enjoy the Casino.

Our wait staff, early dining, Reflections dining room, were friendly and efficient as usual. Our Room steward Surya was one of the best we have had on Carnival

The layout seems easy to travel around from place to place. The new elevator system works great. Everything seemed very clean and well maintained, except the nasty odor from the Casino smoke in many areas

Cabin / Stateroom

As usual our balcony room was perfect. It was in a great location on the ship, only a little noise once in a while from overhead. Not enough to disturb us.

Ship tip

Prepare to smell cigarette smoke in multiple locations around the Casino, it is obnoxious.

Our original all inclusive beach club was canceled due to administrative reasons. The Carnival tour staff notified us the second day and suggested a similar tour, which we scheduled. It was excellent, good food, great drinks, beautiful beach, and great staff.

I agree about the smoking in the casino, this really needs to stop, it’s so very hard if you are a non smoker, to even enjoy going to the casino for my free drinks, I really wish they would cater more to non smokers
