It was a very nice leisurely fun cruise. There were not enough singles on this cruise. Carnival should do better marketing on this issue. It’s hard to have fun when everyone is “coupled up.” Every cruise should strive to have a certain percentage of singles onboard. I don’t like to go on singles “only” cruises because they are like a meat market. I’m not looking for a mate but it would be nice to have a large group of singles to mix with on the cruise.
Embarkation

Very easy and pretty quick
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

It was pretty hit and miss with the food across the board. It averaged a rating of 4 across the board. Loved the ice cream machines!
Onboard Activities

The pool, slides and outside deck area was very nice. Bingo was ok but I prefer the balls in the cage rather than the computer picking the numbers. The female number caller was a bit obnoxious, as was the corny jokes.
Entertainment

I loved the comedians! The white male comedian (forgot his name) was too hyper and a bit rusty but I think he just started performing again after a 16 month hiatus. The female violin players were absolutely awesome! One or two of the lido deck singers were a bit off key. The band that played a concert inside the ship was great! Guitarist was amazing and the girl who sang the Melissa Ethridge song sounded just like Melissa. That whole show was great. I saw it twice!
Was not happy that the LGBTQ passengers had their own special fanfare! I’m not a bigot but it seems like they have gone from being discriminated against to being privileged and superior in many ways. Not a big deal but it annoyed me when I first noticed they had their own special party!
Children's Programs

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward Max was very attentive and friendly. He was always asking how our day was and giving us the lay of the land around us. Our dinner server Sumpena was a hoot! He was extremely professional and fun. I really felt connected to him as a person due to his genuine demeanor and sense of humor. All the service members were great except one. A female who worked at the sandwich shop in the evening (I only saw her once) seemed disgruntled to be working and acted “put out” when another passenger asked her for something.
Ship Quality

Everything was very clean and maintained that way throughout the cruise.
Cabin / Stateroom

The size was good for 3 people. It was comfortable except my couch bed was slanted downward a bit. The second bathroom was a godsend. Just wish there was a toilet in that one too. The only cramped area was the hallway to the bathrooms. Seems weird to have the closet doors and bathroom doors all opening into that narrow little hallway.
Ship tip
I would tell them the desserts on board were better than the food.
I was disappointed in Aruba. I though the island would be plush and pretty but it was dry and rocky. All the brush and foliage looked dead. The beaches were nice but I would never go back. I did take an excursion to see a church, liquor factory and rock formation.
Good except we kept hearing an announcement that told us not to go down to the 3rd floor for disembarkment. After quite a long wait, I finally told my friends that we should go down and see what was taking them so long to call us. Come to find out people were leaving the ship unbeknownst to us at the time.
I agree with your debarkation observation and comment. Communication on our level was non-existent about all that. We also were surprised to see the long line of people exiting. We were supposed to exit with the first group but went with the last group,
The LGBT thing is at like 11pm. Not sure why it’s an issue for you. Just don’t go 😂 it doesn’t affect you at all. It’s the Fun Ships. Let them have fun 🙄🏳️🌈
I think norweign has single cruises, but my neighbor and I are going on two carnival cruises so it doesn’t matter if there are couples or not. We just want to get away since our cruise was cancelled twice. I hope you come back to carnival again
