Review summary

It rained as we where getting back on the boat in Jamaica. Carnival didn't even try to speed up the process of getting everyone back on board quickly. I stood outside in the pouring rain with lightning and thunder for 15 to 20 mins before we where able to get scanned back into the boat. The ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Myself and children got a fever and cold because of this and missed going with the rest of our family to Grand Cayman. Carnival DEFINITELY should revisit thier protocal of getting ppl back on the boat at the ports. According to the Cruise Director "Cookie " we needed to cut our excursions to get back to the boat earlier to avoid long lines!!! UNACCEPTABLE CARNIVAL!!!

A fever and cold from getting wet?

This is why you throw a few ponchos in your bag. Rain can happen at anytime.

It was ridiculous that you posted this complaint multiple times. They have protocol to follow for safety and they followed it. I agree with Cookie. You should have monitored the weather and gotten back to the ship sooner.

We were in a downpour one year but when we sailed away there were no bombs or guns smuggled on board the ship and I never caught a cold, hooked on cruising

I agree not the rain our child’s doctor says u can go out in ice cold wet head not get sick! The main priority is to make sure everyone is safe sorry u had bad time

Were as yes this was an inconvenience for you and your family, the safety and security of passengers and crew need to be a top priority! Also, you did not get sick because you were in the rain - basic biology, viruses do not incubate or spread because of warm rain. Likely you encountered a sick person 3 days prior to you and your children getting sick has nothing to do with the rain.
