The Carnival cruise was very good. It's more a family and party cruise than a relaxing cruise. And we were more looking for a relaxing getaway. But the room gave us a safe space from the noise, pushing, and crowding.
If you are looking for a party good time or a cruise for a big group, this is the one for you.
Embarkation

Carnival did a very good job in getting passengers on the ship quickly and efficiently. Also, it was a friendly experience from the port to the ship.

Food and Dining

The food was pretty good in most places. I really enjoyed the deli. The pizza wasn't the best. But overall, the food was good.
The big issue here was in ice and self-service drinks. There were several times all of the ice machines on half the floor were out of ice. And hot chocolate and lemonade would run out frequently as well.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the Tea Time event in the Platinum Restaurant. That was a highlight.
Entertainment
We didn't see the shows.
Children's Programs
No kids.
Service and Staff

A mixed bag here as well. The room attendants were fantastic! Restaurant workers and waiters all did a great job. Bartenders were not good. Probably not their fault as they were overworked and not staffed adequately. Even still, bartenders would ignore customers instead of let them know they were seen. Not good at all.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was clean and in good shape.
Cabin / Stateroom

Great room. The walls were a little thin and families would get loud. But really - that's a minor thing compared to how great the room was.
Ship tip
If you get a drink package, expect to be disappointed. All of the drinkers get mixed drinks (which makes sense), and they all take a lot more time than a beer, wine, or cocktail. That takes a lot of time per customer. So, that also affects the soda crew. It's very difficult to even get a Pepsi because you need to get someone's attention. And that is difficult.
The port was great. The excursion has major issues. We were on the double-decker city tour bus. It broke down at one point and we had to walk. The employees were friendly enough. But that was a major inconvenience for many of the patrons as some of them couldn't walk very well.
This was mostly good. The only thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars was the other passengers. There was a lot of shoving and jockeying for position unnecessarily. And the lines didn't help eliminate that.
Thanks for review. Terrible about bus tour breaking down!! I haven't found a perfect thing to do in Nassau. But a short sailing is for the fun on the ship, the experience and a get away!
