This was a horrible experience for our family. We will not cruise with Carnival again.
Embarkation

Getting on was overall ok I guess. The lady couldn't get my husband and son straight even though we corrected her multiple times who was who and they have different names.. This caused a longer process than necisarry but not the worst of the trip for sure.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Food was decent taste wise but the lines were so long we were only able to eat the free food once.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Luckily there were some fun things on the ship for us and our kids to do. The comedy shows were good and we enjoyed bingo. The schedule/location of things was never right so we missed a lot! The pool was terrible! way too small for the amount of people they try to put in it.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The comedians were funny that's about the only good thing I have to say. They played the same 10 songs the entire 4 days.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
My kids were very excited for this because their cousins went a few weeks before on another ship and loved it. My 9- and 10-year-old were kept in a room with preschool aged toys and some tvs. They did a couple crafts but outside of the 10 mins they were doing something with them they said it was like being stuck in preschool again.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
I'll say the wait staff and room attentats were the best part of the whole ship. They deeply care for their jobs and their customers. I had to go to guest services multiple times (everything was wrong!) and they were no help and tended to act like they couldn't understand me.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Ship was clean but it doesn't need to be sold out at all the amenities are not big enough to accommodate the max occupancy
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The room was the best part of the ship. We had enough room to breathe which was good since we spent so much time there.
Ship tip
Don't! Pick another ship at least but I will not be doing Carnival again altogether.
Oh wow! Sorry to hear that, but kinda’ get it…back in 2012, I booked a quick 5-day cruise on The Carnival Glory ~ my very first cruise. 1st & last w/ Carnival. Wasn't crazy about how they run things in general, but yet found the all-around cruising experience amazing. So much so that, I've booked cruises every year thereafter. Shop around. Read your reviews, and engage w/ this great community. The feedback from folks here is thorough & well-rounded. It's free advice, 24/7, from all over the world & in real time. Wishing you & yours Happy Cruising going forward

There are so many Included food options available. I’m not sure why you didn’t know about them. They are clearly listed on the website. Maybe try a different line. Not saying that you will enjoy other lines but you never know.
That’s too bad. Our kids always loved the kid clubs. Hopefully you find the cruise line that is what you want. I have not been on a cruise I did not like. Maybe some staff could be nice here and there but everyone has a bad day. Thanks for sharing
Sorry, you didn’t enjoy your time. Always research first or get with a travel agent. There are multiple classes of ships, many cruiselines and so forth. Spelling out your must haves definitely will save you a headache.
So there are plenty of free food options besides the buffet. I am not sure were people get this impression. Perhaps with John H wanting to call the restaurants instead of the MDR. I wuld not give up on Carnival, but use the gained knowledge to make your next cruise better. Unless you are experienced on other cruiselines. Thanks for sharng.
